Pennfield Teen Seriously Injured In Early Morning Stabbing

A Pennfield Township teen was taken to the hospital in serious condition Wednesday morning after a stabbing over a girl.

Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of Maxwell  in Pennfield Township, around 2:40am Wednesday.  Residents at the home initially told authorities that there had been an attempted home invasion, but investigation showed that a 15-year-old male had entered the home and stabbed a 14-year-old male, apparently during an argument about a 13-year-old girl at the home.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a serious wound to the shoulder, but his injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested, and is lodged at the Calhoun County Juvenile Home.
