Plea Deal from Teacher in Molestation Case
A ‘No Contest’ plea has been entered in a deal with prosecutors by a former Plainwell High School teacher accused of molesting one of his students. Kelly Laker, a longtime employee of Plainwell Schools, entered the plea this week to reduced charges of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct; he could get up to two years in prison. The investigation into Laker’s conduct began earlier this year when a special needs student accused him of touching her inappropriately on multiple occasions.
