Police Continue Bomb Threat Investigation

Police in Battle Creek are still working to find the person responsible for a bomb threat yesterday.

Police responded to the threat at a shopping complex on West Columbia at around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

The businesses in the area were evacuated as a precaution and the nearby Lakeview Middle School went on a brief lockdown.

The Battle Creek Police Bomb Unit searched the premises. but nothing was found.

All of the businesses were reopened a short time later.
