The Battle Creek Police have closed their case on an attempted abduction over the weekend, and called it a misunderstanding. The report came Sunday afternoon when two girls were walking a dog around the 300 block of Watkins Road. Two men in a vehicle stopped and attempted to grab the dog, claiming it was theirs. The arm of one of the girls was grabbed in the altercation before they fled to call authorities. Investigators were able to get in contact with the men, and they learned that the men were looking for their lost dog who looked like the dog the girls had. No charges will be filed.
