Police Investigate Shooting, Gunfire On Arbor Pointe Drive

Police in Battle Creek are investigating after a 19-year-old man was shot last night.  Officers say they responded to reports of a shooting on Arbor Pointe Drive where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The man was taken to Bronson-Battle Creek for treatment.

Investigators say it’s likely the man accidentally shot himself but the firearm used has not been found.

Police also responded to reports of shots fired during a fight on Arbor Pointe Drive at around 8 last night.

A 19-year-old suspect was arrested at that time after a short chase and taken to the County Jail on multiple felony charges.
