Police Search for Bank Robber in Kalamazoo

The Preferred Credit Union on South Westnedge in Kalamazoo was the scene of an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon. A man with a handgun robbed the credit union at around noon, running off with a small amount of money. The man is described as a dark-skinned black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, possibly with dreadlocks, weighing between 165 and 175 pounds and standing between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8. The man was wearing light colored sweatpants with a light colored short-sleeve shirt and white tennis shoes. Anybody with information is being asked to call Kalamazoo Public Safety or Silent Observer.
