Officials in Battle Creek are searching for suspects in a home invasion that occurred in a Battle Creek neighborhood Sunday night.

A homeowner in the 100 block of Bryant Street reported to The Battle Creek Enquirer that he heard a loud crash in another room.

 

When the gentleman went to locate the source of the unusual sound on the first floor of the house he was confronted by a man he did not know standing in his kitchen.The intruder then pushed the homeowner out of the way as he ran for the door.The fall left a cut on the homeowner was cut from falling on broken glass from an apparently broken window.

 

The "was a black man about 6-feet tall with a slim build and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, and a belt with a large buckle" according to The Battle Creek Enquirers Report.

 

No further information is known at this time but authorities are asking residents in the are to be on the look out for anything suspicious.
