Power Outages In Battle Creek Close Secretary of State Office (July 18, 2016)

After severe storms moved through Southwest Michigan early this morning, thousands of people in Battle Creek were without power.

As well, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson tells WBCK That the Secretary of State Office in Battle Creek at Capital Center on Capital Ave SW near I-94 is closed temporarily due to the power outage July 18, 2016.

Outages were scattered throughout the Battle Creek area, but the areas most affected included southern Bedford Township, Emmett Township north of I-94, along Beckley Road near Lakeview Square Mall and Leroy Township.
