By 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, another round of showers and thunderstorms had nearly exited the state to the east, leaving some standing water and flood concerns in some parts of southwest Michigan. Overnight storms were apparently stronger to the north of Battle Creek, where power outages were reported.

Chances for rain diminish during the day and evening Tuesday in Battle Creek, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Those chances return later in the week, though, and the upcoming weekend promises some of the warmest temperatures yet to be seen this summer.
