Recycling Plant In Springfield Catches Fire
Several fire departments are on the scene of a fire at a Springfield business.
Four departments responded to the business on the 500 block of North 24th Street, where smoke has been seen billowing throughout the area around 3pm Friday afternoo. More departments are expected to arrive this afternoon.
Authorities say the business is metal recycling facility and a portion of the structure has collapsed. The Battle Creek Enquirer is reporting the building that collapsed was an abandoned building on the property and the business will be open on Saturday.
