Any one who knows meknows that I'm a massive Detroit Red Wings fan (gee... maybe its the giant winged wheel on the inside of my bicep). But news is starting to come out that team captain Henrik Zetterberg's health and stamina is not up to par this off-season, and it may spell the end of his career.

Freep is reporting the Swedish 37 year-old has been feeling nerve damage and disc- related problems, but the Wings veteran since the 02-03 season says he won't stop fighting until a Doctor tells him he can't play:

I will need more answers from doctors before I say I have played my last game. In my mind, I am hoping it can get solved. I don’t want to think I have played my last game. To me, it’s still early to say that. But obviously, I’ve been through this for the last few years, and I know it’s a thin line.

Z says at this point in his career, surgery is not an option. He's worried he won't be well enough to start at the beginning of the season. Since undergoing back surgery in 2014, he has played every regular season game for the past 3 years.
