The latest Richard's Ride from Lakeview Ford Lincoln is the 2015 Ford Escape Titanium crossover. Ford transitioned the Escape from more of an SUV design to the crossover in 2013. Since then, it's been one of Ford's most popular models.

That stands to reason, since the segment is quite popular. Vehicles in the crossover category tend to combine car-like features with those most popular features of an SUV - namely cargo space. Generally, they've done that while creating a vehicle that increases fuel economy.

Actually, that's one of my favorite things about the Escape - the 2.0L Ecoboost engine with 275 horsepower featured in our test model. The 4 cylinder turbocharged Ecoboost provides plenty of get-up when needed, which can often be a concern for folks who were used to the power of a V-6 engine.

Another of my favorite features of this well appointed Escape is the backup camera, front and rear sensors for easy parking, and the Park Assist feature, which will literally parallel park the car for you. Check it out! Click the video link above - and then head to Lakeview Ford Lincoln, Washington at Dickman in downtown Battle Creek and drive one for yourself!

The Richard Piet Show is heard weekday mornings from 5:30-9 on WBCK.
