The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has issued a "heads-up" for motorists who travel M-89 on the west-side of Battle Creek.

For the next few weeks, beginning Monday, Sept. 14, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be repaving about 1.2 miles of M-89 in Battle Creek from Augusta Drive to Custer Drive. Construction includes curb, gutter, and sidewalk ramp replacement. There will be lane closures under flag control.

MDOT expects the project to be completed by Friday, Oct. 30.
