Robbery Victim Stabs Attacker

Police in Kalamazoo say the victim in an armed robbery attempt last night managed to stab one of his attackers and escape.

The 26-year-old man was accosted by three teens on Lay Boulevard in the Edison neighborhood at around 7:45 and was hit on the head with a pistol.  The man stabbed one of the attackers in the side and the group ran off.

Police say a 15-year-old showed up at the hospital shortly after with a life-threatening injury.  Another 15-year-old and a 13-year-old were tracked down and arrested.

The victim was treated at the hospital and released.
