He's taken a lot of grief for the "Row The Boat" slogan, but Western Michigan University's (WMU) football coach P. J. Fleck may be getting the last laugh.

The 34-year-old Fleck was named the Mid-American Conference Football Coach of the Year. Fleck is the youngest coach in the U.S. at the Football Bowl Subdivision level.

When Fleck was hired at WMU in Kalamazoo in 2012, he got a fair amount of push back regarding his "Row The Boat" slogan and playing "Chelsea Dagger" by the Fratellis after his team's extra points at the games, among other new traditions that Fleck introduced. But winning does cure a lot of ills. Congrats.

Fleck is the sixth Bronco head coach to be named MAC Coach of the Year.
