An extra round of scrap tire collection will be taking place in Battle Creek next week.

The city says that residents of Battle Creek, Springfield, and surrounding townships can bring up to 10 scrap tires per household to the Department of Public Works building on S. Kendall St. Rims will not be accepted, nor will oversized, semi, truck, or tractor tires.

The collection takes place Saturday, July 8 from 8am to 11am, or when the trailer is full.
