If you ever wanted to see Baseball the way it was originally played, The Walker Tavern Wheels vintage baseball club opens its 2016 season Saturday, June 18th.

According to Michigan Department of Natural Resources,  the team plays it's home games at Walker Tavern Historic Site near Brooklyn, Michigan.  The league plays their games based on rules from the 1860's, which means no gloves and wool uniforms.

The Wheels, (who are the current champs in their league)  season runs through August, 7th with many of the games played in conjunction with the Walker Tavern Sunday Farmers Market.

The teams schedule is available at www.michigan.gov/walkertavern.  More details on Walker Tavern, located at the junction of U.S. 12 and M-50, visit www.michigan.gov/walkertavern.
