The State of Michigan and Enbridge Energy have filed a settlement related to a 2010 oil spill that damaged the Kalamazoo River. Enbridge has agreed to restore or create 300 acres of wetlands in the Kalamazoo River watershed in southwestern Michigan. A pipeline ruptured near Marshall in 2010, spilling more than 800,000 gallons of oil and damaging the river and Talmadge Creek.
