The streets of Kalamazoo were victims of yet another sewage overflow, Friday night, this time due to vandals. According to officials in Kalamazoo, 450 gallons of waste overflowed from a sanitary sewer. The City of Kalamazoo Department of Public Services was called to a manhole on North Street, around 4 PM on Saturday, where they found that a manhole had been taken off, and sticks and logs had been stuck into the sewage line. Going forward, city officials are planning to install locks on manhole covers.
