The state of Michigan is asking the U.S. Supreme court to weigh in and halt a lower court decision for registered offenders. The Associated Press reports, that decision specifically found that the state unconstitutionally put additional restrictions against sex offenders, long after their convictions. The state says it shouldn’t be forced to change sex offender registration and enforcement protocols without a full review by the high court.
