Shooting Victim Identified

The Albion Department of Public Safety has identified the victim in the shooting that took place Wednesday evening.

Earnest Lee Embry was gunned down at approximately 9:45 PM in the 100 block of East Pine Street.

The 58 year-old Albion man was shot multiple times. Police officers immediately began performing CPR on the victim, however their efforts failed and paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene.

Two subjects, Tommy Lee Evans and James Carl Nelson are currently being questioned regarding the incident.

The Calhoun County Major Crimes Task Force was contacted along with the Michigan State Police Forensic Crime Lab to assist in the investigation.
