Shots Fired In Battle Creek

Battle Creek Police officers were on patrol, at 4:40 AM Sunday morning, when they heard shots being fired in the area of Washington Heights, on the city's North-West side.

Officers then observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed and attempted to stop the vehicle. After a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped and a male subject was taken into custody.

 A handgun was located, that appears to have been thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit.

At this time there, are no reports of any victims or damaged property.
