Singer Joni Mitchell Hospitalized

The LA Times reports singer Joni Mitchell is in intensive care at a Los Angeles-area hospital, but was "awake and in good spirits".

The report indicates an emergency call was made, and Mitchell was rushed to the hospital from her home in the Bel-Air area of Los Angeles.

The 71-year-old is among those legendary musicians to come out of the 1960's music scene. She has won eight Grammys and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
