Slick Roads Causes Battle Creek Fire Truck To Flip
Icy road conditions caused a Battle Creek fire truck responding to a chimney fire to roll over yesterday.
The truck hit a patch of ice on Washington Avenue around 1pm Sunday, rolling onto its side and trapping four firefighters inside of it. They were able to kick themselves out, with no major injuries reported.
Two semi-trucks were brought in to right the vehicle, and additional fire crews successfully put out the chimney fire they were responding to.
