I had to think back to last week and try to remember if maybe I had a bit of a braggart tone to my voice when I talked about the blizzard passing us by. It went on to dump over a foot of snow in New England. I didn't think I sounded too pleased that we'd dodged the bullet.

Well, apparently our collective satisfaction over it was well noted by Old Man Winter and Mother Nature. It turns out roughly a week later, we have our own pile of snow to deal with. Around Battle Creek, we ended up with an average of 13 inches after Sunday night's dumping.

The National Weather Service forecast for Battle Creek this week shows some other chances for at least light snow, if not a few inches Tuesday night into Wednesday. We'll get you the weather and traffic info you need every morning on The Richard Piet Show, with updates all day long on WBCK.
