A band of snow showers moving across the lake from Chicago Monday morning managed to move south of Kalamazoo and Battle Creek, sparing the area a brief wintry scene. This, one week after high temperature readings in the 60's.

Nevertheless, the National Weather Service forecast for Battle Creek suggests a chance of mixed precipitation and highs only in the mid-30s on Friday. Temperatures should rebound into the 40's and 50's late in the weekend and early next week.
