The Yankees are a win away from the World Series.  Game 6 is tonight in Houston. The Astros will send Justin Verlander to the mound as they try to stay alive. Luis Severino will start for the Yankees.

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Chicago Cubs 11-1 on Thursday night behind Clayton Kershaw to reach the World Series for the first time in almost 30 years.  The Dodgers take the series four games to one, and end the Cubs’ hopes of repeating as World Champs.  Clayton Kershaw started the game for the Dodgers, and shut the Cubs down for six innings.  Kershaw was a seven-month-old baby the last time the Dodgers were in the series. Kike Hernandez homered three times and drove in seven runs.  It's the first pennant for L-A since Tommy Lasorda’s 1988 team won it. The Dodgers will host the Yankees or Astros in Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night.

Lions

The Lions are off this weekend.   Detroit will use the time to try and get healthy. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has an ailing right ankle and sore ribs.
