Lions

The Lions came from behind to beat the Dolphins 20-16 on Sunday.  Matthew Stafford found Theo Riddick from 11 yards out with 29 seconds to play. The Lions ran two fake punts in the game with punter Sam Martin completing two passes.  Detroit blew a 10-0 early lead, and had a kick blocked, which led to a Miami touchdown. James Ihedigbo picked off a Miami pass in the second quarter but an interception killed that scoring chance. Stafford ended with 280 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.  Calvin Johnson saw his first game action since Week Five and finished with seven catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.  Golden Tate had 11 catches for 109 yards in the win. It’s the 7-2 Lions’ best start in 21 years, when Barry Sanders and Herman Moore led the offense.   They play at Arizona next Sunday.
