The Lions beat the L-A Rams 31-28 on Sunday.  Matt Prater made a tiebreaking, 34-yard field goal with 1:29 left and Rafael Bush followed with a victory-sealing interception two plays later.  The Lions (3-3) have won two straight games with Prater making the winning kick and a defensive back following up with an interception on the ensuing possession.  The Lions came up with a goal line stand to end the first half.  Golden Tate had eight receptions for a career-high 165 yards and a touchdown.  Marvin Jones, Anquan Boldin and Andre Roberts also caught TDs for the Lions.  The Lions will host Kirk Cousins and the Redskins this Sunday at Ford Field.

Dodgers win 1-0

Clayton Kershaw defused the Cubs' bats, pitching the Dodgers to a 1-0 win in Game 2 of the NLCS. The Dodgers left-hander retired the first 14 hitters he faced and only gave up two hits in seven innings while striking out six and walking one. Adrian Gonzalez homered in the second inning off of Chicago starter Kyle Hendricks to help tie the series at a game each.

The Indians lead the series with Toronto 2-0 despite injuries to Danny Salazar and fellow starter Carlos Carrasco. Game 3 is tonight.  The Blue Jays have managed only one run through the first two games of the series, failing to take advantage of the Indians' injury-riddled rotation.  Cleveland right-hander Trevor Bauer has pronounced himself ready to pitch, saying the stitches he needed after cutting his finger repairing a drone shouldn't be an issue Monday night against Toronto.  Bauer brought a drone with him to a lighthearted news conference Sunday, and he briefly demonstrated how he cut his right pinkie on a propeller Thursday night.  Bauer was initially supposed to pitch Saturday, but Josh Tomlin started instead and the Indians won to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
