Pistons

The Pistons close out a three-game home stand tonight against the Pacers. Detroit is off to a 3-and-0 start.  Pistons center Andre Drummond has been named Eastern Conference Player of the week. Drummond recorded three consecutive double-doubles as he helped Detroit to wins over Atlanta, Utah and Chicago last week and leads the NBA with 16.3 rebounds per game. After tonight, the Pistons embark on a six-game western road trip that begins Friday in Phoenix and ends in LA.

Monday Night Football

The Carolina Panthers are the NFC’s only unbeaten team as they beat Indianapolis 29-26 in overtime on "Monday Night Football".  Colts quarterback Andrew Luck rallied Indianapolis from 17 points down in the last seven and a half minutes of the game, but his third interception of the night set up a game-winning fifty-two yard field goal for the Panthers. Graham Gano kicked a 52-yard field goal in overtime, giving the Panthers the win.  Gano booted two field goals in OT after missing an extra point in regulation to help Carolina improve to 7-and-0.

Red Wings

The Red Wings are home tonight as they host the Lightning at Joe Louis Arena.

MSU Basketball
Michigan State plays their first basketball game on Wednesday, as they host Northern Michigan in an exhibition game. MSU finished last season with a 27-and-12 record, and a trip to the Final Four where they fell to Duke in the National Semifinals.

College Football

Michigan dropped a spot to 16th in the College Football poll after their dramatic win at Minnesota on Saturday night.  QB Jake Rudock hurt his ribs Saturday against Minnesota and is expected to be limited in practice this week. Freshman Wilton Speight would start if Rudock can't go.  For the second time this season, Michigan defensive back Jabrill Peppers has been named the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week.  Peppers was on the field for 92 total plays Saturday, making an impact on offense, defense and special teams.

The Wolverines will host Rutgers this Saturday

#6 Michigan State will be back on the field Saturday at Nebraska. The Huskers lost at Purdue on Saturday to slip to 3-and-6 on the year.

World Series

As the Royals celebrate their first World Series title in 30 years, oddsmakers in Las Vegas have the Tigers at 20-to-1 to win it all next year. The Westgate Sportsbook favors the Dodgers to go all the way at 8-to-1. The Phillies have the longest odds to win the 2016 Fall Classic at 300-to-1.

High School Football

St. Philip tries to stay unbeaten as they host Lawrence. It will be rematch from the final week of the regular season, when the Tigers beat Lawrence, 47-44. St. Philip has been knocked out of the playoffs each of the last two years by Lawrence. If St. Philip advances, it would play the winner of Morrice/Deckerville in the state semifinals for 8-man football. Broadcast time is 6:35 this Friday night on WBCK.

Climax-Scotts win host Pittsford.

Undefeated Coldwater will host Vicksburg.

Homer will host Dansville.

Lions

The Lions return to action November 15th for a game against the division-rival Packers in Green Bay. After that, Detroit will play three consecutive games at Ford Field against the Raiders, Eagles and Packers.
