Sports: Pistons Lose to Clippers
Pistons
The Pistons lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, 113-91. Detroit could get no closer than nine points in the second half. Jodie Meeks came off the bench to score 20 points for the Pistons. Andre Drummond added 18. Blake Griffin had 18 for Los Angeles. Detroit hosts Dallas tomorrow.
Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings open a four-game homestand tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Forward Stephen Weiss, who suffered a shoulder injury last week, did not practice yesterday and is day-to-day. Forward Justin Abdelkader, who has been out of the lineup with a shoulder injury, and defenseman Danny DeKeyser, with an upper body injury, took part in drills yesterday and are expected to play tonight against Columbus.
Detroit is winless in its last three games, losing in twice in shootouts.
NHL Mumps
The Red Wings, along with the other 29 teams in the NHL, are taking precautions against an outbreak of mumps. Starting today, Wings players, coaches and staff will be able to get a vaccination to protect them from the virus. Fifteen cases have been reported around the league so far, and players diagnosed with the mumps include Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby, Anaheim's Corey Perry and Minnesota's Ryan Suter.

Harper Creek beat Battle Creek Central 73-61 to move to 3-0 on the. Khylen Watkins led the Beavers with 23 points. TraYon Johnson added 15 and James Cadena chipped in 14.

Climax-Scotts 83, Calhoun Christian 21 Dallas Froberg had a career-high 37 points and eight steals.
Union City 58, Tekonsha 21 Colin Kreger had 14 points.

Lions
The Lions head to Chicago Sunday, trying to hold on to the division lead over the Packers. Detroit Lions tackle LaAdrian Waddle could be out for the last two games of the season. Waddle was taken off the field on a cart in the third quarter after a Vikings player fell on his knee. Lions head coach Jim Caldwell said the team will do an evaluation on the tackle and make a decision today or tomorrow on whether to put him on season-ending injured reserve. Waddle has already missed four games this year with a calf injury and a concussion.
NFL
Drew Brees went 29-of-36 for 375 yards and three touchdowns to guide the New Orleans Saints to a 31-15 victory over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Monday Night Football.

MSU’s Women’s Basketball team hosts Alcorn State tonight.
The MSU Spartan Men’s team will host Eastern Michigan tomorrow night.
