Pistons Waive Smith

The Detroit Pistons have waived forward Josh Smith.  Coach Stan Van Gundy says the team has not performed the way they had expected in the first third of the season and adjustments need to be made.  He says the team felt it was best to give Smith the freedom to move forward.  Detroit is back in action Friday night when they host the Indiana Pacers.
