Sports: Pistons win in Brooklyn
Pistons
The Pistons beat the Nets 105-100 Monday night in Brooklyn. Andre Drummond had 21 points and 18 rebounds. Reggie Jackson scored 19 points and hit three late shots to spark the Pistons. Both Ersan Ilyasova and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished with 16 points.
Drummond fell just shy of an NBA-high sixth 20-point, 20-rebound game of the season but delivered the tiebreaking basket on a dunk with 1:30 remaining. The Pistons end a three-game road trip at Boston tomorrow night.
Pistons’ Meeks Has Setback
Pistons guard Jodie Meeks' return to the lineup may be pushed back after a visit to his surgeon yesterday in New York. Meeks returned to practice on a limited basis last week, but after working out reported soreness in the foot he broke in the season home opener in October. Doctor Martin O'Malley, who repaired the injury, told him he will have to stop most physical activity until his foot is healed.
