Boys Basketball Districts
Battle Creek Central’s season came to an end last night, as they lost to Holt, 68-64. It was the second straight year the Rams have beaten the Bearcats in District play. Central came out cold, barely scoring in the first quarter and way behind at the half. But the Bearcats battled back to tie it at 52 at the end of regulation on a three-pointer by Mafiaion Joyner. Curtis Trigg had 21-points, with all but 4 coming in the second half. Mohammed Albagami, scored all of his 13-points in the second half. Battle Creek Central was playing without its head coach Greg Williams, who was out sick. Battle Creek finishes the season at 18-2.

Gull Lake 59, Lakeview 40. Gull Lake plays Holt on Wednesday night.
Class B
Pennfield 80, Comstock 57 Ryan Lowe had 26…all but 2 in the second half, and added 10 rebounds.
Marshall 59, Delton 45 Angus Bennett scored 13.

Olivet 47, Jackson Northwest 40. The Eagles play Eaton Rapids on Wednesday.

Maple Valley 45, Galesburg-Augusta 30 Luis Martinez with 13 points and 10 rebounds. They play Springport next.
Union City 61, Bronson 56 Dustin Austin scored 20 for the Chargers. They get Reading tomorrow.

St. Philip 80, Kalamazoo Heritage Christian 50 Tyler Hubbard-Neil had 22.
Climax-Scotts 55, Kalamazoo Phoenix 49 Dallas Froberg scored 25 points.

Athens’ Girls’ basketball team will play St. Joseph Lake Michigan Catholic tonight at Bloomingdale High School.
Pistons
The Detroit Pistons beat the New York Knicks 96-85 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Andre Drummond grabbed a career-high 26 rebounds to go along with 17 points and three blocks. Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum each added 16 points off the bench for Detroit.
Lebron Scores Big
LeBron James erupted for a career-high and franchise-best 61 points as the Heat hammered the Bobcats 124-107
Tigers
The Tigers beat the Cardinals 8-5 in Lakeland. Austin Jackson went two-for-three at the plate with three RBI and Nick Castellanos hit a solo shot in the fifth inning. Former Tiger Jhonny Peralta hit two home runs off starter Drew Smyly.
Detroit plays Pittsburgh today in Lakeland.
Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings return to the ice tonight as they face off against the Devils in New Jersey. The Wings have won two straight on the road, including a 6-1 win over the Senators in Ottawa. Detroit will be without center Pavel Datsyuk tonight as he deals with a knee injury, while center Stephen Wiess, who had sports hernia surgery, suffered a setback during practice yesterday and forward Danny Cleary is expected to miss the next three games with a knee injury.
College Basketball
The Wolverines head to Champain to play the Illini tonight. The 12th-ranked Michigan Wolverines will look to clinch the outright Big Ten title.….6:30 on Sports 930 the Score.

Western Michigan is tied for first-place with Toledo, and travels Northern Illinois
CMU hosts Toledo tonight.
MSU has Iowa on Thursday in East Lansing.
