The Los Angeles Angels are American League West Division champions for the first time since 2009.

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush tried to clarify remarks he made on a radio show about how he might discipline his daughter.   Bush says he "definitely will discipline her harshly" and indicated he would consider spanking his child. Bush says he isn't spanking a 1-year-old girl. He says he should have kept his thoughts on disciplining his daughter private.  The Detroit Lions are getting ready for a Sunday showdown with the Green Bay Packers. Yesterday, defensive end Ziggy Ansah, linebacker Travis Lewis and tackle LaAdrian Waddle were all held out of practice with injuries.  Safety James Ihedigbo is waiting for medical clearance to return to full practice and remains limited due to a pinched nerve in his neck.  Running back Joique Bell, defensive tackle Nick Fairley and cornerback Cassius Vaughn were limited during drills yesterday.  Safety Don Carey was back on the practice field for the first time since he suffered a hamstring injury in Detroit's third preseason game.
