The Tigers beat the White Sox 8-6 at Comerica Park. Miguel Cabrera went three-for-five at the plate and batted in three runs, including a two-run homer in the third-inning, Starter Justin Verlander notched his third win of the year allowing two runs on eight hits while striking out seven in seven innings. Ian Kinsler had two RBI. The Tigers Phil Coke was tagged for three runs in the 9th, as he gave up three straight hits, including a homer by Adam Dunn. The Tigers send Drew Smyly to the mound tonight. Broadcast time is 6:40 on 95.3 WBCK-FM.
Red Wings
The Red Wings lost to Boston 3-0 in three in Detroit. Jimmy Howard stopped 31 shots last night, while his Bruins counterpart, Tuukka Rask turned aside all 23 shots he faced.
Game four is tomorrow at Joe Louis Arena.
NHL Playoffs
Montreal swept Tampa with a 4-3 win to end the Lightning season.
The Rangers beat the Flyers 4-1 to go up 2-1.
San Jose leads LA 3-0 after a 4-3 win in OT.
Tonight, it’s Pittsburgh at Columbus, St. Louis at Chicago and Anaheim at Dallas.
NBA Playoffs
The Pacers beat Atlanta 101-85 to even that series at a game each.
Toronto pulled even with the Nets after a 100-95 win.
The Wizards lead the Bulls 2-0 after winning 101-99 in OT to steal two at the United Center.

Puhols hits 500th Homer
Albert Pujols is the newest member of the 500 home run club. The 34-year-old Pujols hit two last night to become the 26th member of the exclusive 500 club and the third-youngest to reach the mark.
Lions’ Voluntary Camp
The Detroit Lions voluntary minicamp opened yesterday without three players.
Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, cornerback Chris Houston and return specialist Carlin Isles were all missing yesterday. Suh has yet to participate in offseason workouts and is negotiating a new contract, Houston is dealing with an injury and Isles is playing rugby with a team overseas. Detroit also announced yesterday that they signed defensive end George Johnson. Johnson was originally signed by Tampa Bay in 2010 and has played the last two season in Minnesota.
High School Baseball
Gull Lake swept Harper Creek to go 8-0 on the season, winning 2-0 and 9-2.
Lakeview took two from Sturgis, 7-6 and 10-6. Jake Bivens was 3-for-3 with a double. Trevor Underwood had three hits and 3 RBI in game 2.
Pennfield swept Galesburg-Augusta, 11-1 and 9-1. Tanner Dean and Jordan Hulting had the pitching wins.
St. Phillip swept Bellevue 12-1 and 15-0.
Marshall split a pair with Coldwater. Drew Devin with a complete game win in the Redhawks’ 6-3 win in game 2.
