The Giants are one win away from the World Series. They used a three-run sixth inning to push past the Cardinals in Game Four of the NLCS from San Francisco.  Buster Posey drove in three runs to carry the Giants. San Francisco leads the best-of-seven series 3-1.  Game Five from AT&T Park is tonight.

Red Wings

Tomas Tatar scored in the first period and Gustav Nyquist added a power play goal in the third to send the game to overtime.   Detroit missed both shots in the shootout round, while Boston scored twice to take the win. Jimmy Howard made 37 saves in the loss. Detroit will skate against Toronto in a home-and-home series starting Friday night and then play Montreal on the road next Tuesday.
