The Red Wings host the Blues tonight. Petr Mrazek will get the start in goal.  The Red Wings will be without forward Drew Miller and defenseman Niklas Kronwall due to injuries. Miller's season is likely over after undergoing surgery to repair his left ACL and torn meniscus and he is expected to be out between four and six months.

Kronwall had arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair a knee issue and could be sidelined for up to a month. According to head coach Jeff Blashill, Kronwall had a procedure done on the same knee a few years ago and has been playing with pain this season.

Pistons

The Pistons, 22-and-19 on the season, are back in action tonight when they start a four-game road trip with a stop in Houston.  The Pistons will also visit the New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz before returning home.

MAC Basketball

Ohio beat Western Michigan 82-64 on Tuesday night.

Akron beat Eastern Michigan 92-88.

Northern Illinois held off Central Michigan 75-70.

MSU Basketball

Number-11 Michigan State (16-3, 3-3) hosts Nebraska (11-8, 3-3) tonight in big ten basketball action.  #11 Michigan State hosts Nebraska tonight. Broadcast time is 5:30pm on WBCK.

Michigan Basketball

The Michigan Wolverines (13-5, 3-2) will play host to Minnesota (6-12, 0-6) tonight. Tip-off at the Crisler Center is 8:30 p.m.

Schwarts gets Philly Job

The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz as their next defensive coordinator.  He spent 2015 as a consultant for the NFL's officiating department. Schwartz guided the Buffalo Bills' defense to an NFL-best 54 sacks in 2014. The 49-year-old spent five seasons as head coach of the Lions.

This Sunday, New England is at Denver at 3pm, and Arizona is at Carolina at 6:40pm in the Conference Championship games, to see who plays in Super Bowl 50.

Sturgis beat the visiting Lakeview Spartans 49-44 in a game heard on WBCK.

Marshall defeated Charlotte, 82-78, in overtime to go 7-2 on the season. Jacob Brubaker led Marshall with 29 points and nine rebounds.

Climax, now ranked 5th in the state, beat Calhoun Christian 80-25.  Dallas Froberg had 18.
