The San Francisco Giants have won their third World Series title in five years, a 3-2 win to take game 7. Michael Morse drove in two runs including a go-ahead RBI-single in the fourth. Despite just two days of rest, Madison Bumgarner came on in relief and threw the final five scoreless innings to earn the save and MVP honors. He went 2-and-0 while giving up just one run over 21 innings against the Royals.  Jeremy Affeldt got the win, in relief of starter Tim Hudson, who wasn’t around long.  At 39, Tim Hudson became the oldest pitcher to start a Game Seven in the Series. He yielded two runs in just an inning-and-two-thirds.  Pablo Sandoval finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the Giants, who earned their eighth crown overall. Sandoval set a Major League record with 26 postseason hits.  It was the Royal’s first appearance in the post season since 1985.
