Here's the announcement that I wait for most years.   I won't be able to make it south this March for Spring Training, but if you're planning to, my advice is:  Get your tickets Saturday and be quick!  If I'm going 2000 miles to see a ballgame, I figure I might as well spend a couple of extra bucks for the best seats possible.....and they go fast!

Joker-Marchant stadium has had a lot of improvements in recent years, with a lot more coming after this spring!   Most of the seats are behind the safety screen.  I hate that, but many people prefer it for safety.   My favorite sections are 100, and 101, behind first base.  It's a great, unobstructed view.  You can hear the players, and see them trotting down to the clubhouse and back.  The sun is behind you too, instead of in your face. 200 and 201 are pretty good too, up higher, but further from the field. Section 112 is nice on the 3rd base side, but not really protected from foul balls.  Bring your glove and be alert!

Buying them on-line can be a little tricky, but you start to get the hang of it after a while.  It will try to steer you toward seats you might not want.  Don't be afraid to start over, until you get good seats.

If you're going down for several days, check out some other parks in Florida.   You can get those tickets on line, and see the Tigers play on the road.  The closest parks to Lakeland are in Kissimmee.  The Braves play at Disney, and the Astros are a few miles away.  The Yankees play in Tampa, and the Phillies in Clearwater.   The Blue Jays are in Dunedin.

Here's the announcement from the Tigers:
