Springfield Couple Assaulted in Early Morning Home Invasion

Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies are on the lookout for a group of suspects who robbed a home early Tuesday morning.

Authorities responded to the 100 block of Avenue C in Springfield on reports of armed robbery at around 4:20 AM.  The victims say that when they went to let the dog out, four masked and hooded men entered the house and assaulted them.

All the men are reported to have carried handguns and shotguns.

The suspects then stole money and medical marijuana from the homeowners.  The victims, a 57-year-old woman and 61-year-old man, were injured during the robbery.
