The U.S. Supreme Court is ruling in on the next November election, in Michigan. The court has decided that the ban on straight-party voting will not take effect for the upcoming election. The Associated Press reports that the court rejected a request by state officials to halt lower court rulings that blocked the Republican-sponsored law. With the decision, Michigan voters will still be able to check one box and support all candidates, for one party or another.
