Battle Creek, Mich. – Summit Pointe announced today that Jeannie Goodrich has been appointed Interim Executive Director/CEO.  The Board has also accepted the resignations of Chief Operating Office Bob Lambert and Chief Financial Officer Leon Karnovsky, which were put into effect immediately.

In a press release issued Friday afternoon, Trae Allman, Board Chair of Summit Pointe said “Our staff provides excellent service to the community and will continue that great work.  “We will work quickly to fill these positions with the most qualified individuals.  Most important for our community, we will not have any interruption in the successful programs we offer.”

The Summit Pointe Board initiated an internal investigation several months ago that led to the board placing CEO Erv Brinker on administrative leave.  That investigation continues to expand as more information becomes available.  All relevant material is being forwarded to the Attorney General’s office, which has initiated an investigation.

Summit Pointe provides mental health and developmental disability programs in Calhoun County.  It has had years of successful programming and is known for their community mental health services.
