Superintendent Of Battle Creek Schools To Resign

Dr. Linda Hicks is resigning as Superintendent of Battle Creek Public Schools.The announcement of her resignation was read out at last night’s meeting of the Battle Creek School Board.

Dr. Hicks did not attend the meeting.

The resignation goes into effect Friday.

The resignation follows recent layoffs in the district and the closing of Coburn Elementary School as the district attempts to close a budget deficit.
