A 45 year-old man is in custody after being suspected of killing six people in Kalamazoo, Saturday evening.

According to a news conference, held Sunday morning, Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting identified the suspect as Jason Brian Dalton.

Getting said that the shootings began at the Meadows Townhomes, off from G Avenue, in Richland Township. Then, at approximately 10:15 PM, the suspect shot a father and son at Seelye Ford Kia, in Kalamazoo. The man then went to the Cracker Barrel restaurant and killed four more people in the parking lot.

After questioning eyewitnesses and viewing surveillance photos, authorities stopped a vehicle matching the description and arrested Dalton, identified as a 45 year-old man who lives on Douglas Avenue in Cooper Township.

A 14 year-old victim remains in critical condition at Bronson Hospital.
