Original Story-

Troopers with the Michigan State Police Marshall post are investigating a suspicious death in Calhoun County involving an elderly woman. The 74-year-old from East Leroy was reportedly found dead during a welfare check Thursday evening.

Authorities were called to a residence in the 10000 block of 4 Mile Road and D Drive South at around 6:00 pm. The woman reportedly hadn't been in contact with anyone for nearly four months. While contacting the family members of the elderly woman, investigators were informed that they "had reasons to believe that woman may be deceased", but the nature of that information has not been released.
