Suspicious Morning Apartment Fire in Albion

No one was injured Tuesday morning in Albion after a fire broke out in an apartment building.

Public Safety officers and two other departments responded to the 1000 block of Hillside Road just after 2:30am, where the fire was located on the second floor of the apartment homes. The blaze caused heavy damage to the second floor of two apartments. The residents were able to escape safely and no injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation and is being deemed suspicious. The cost of damage is still being determined.
