The Michigan State Police announced Tuesday that on January 7, 34-year-old Travis Tudor was sentenced to 27 years in federal prison on a charge of sexual exploitation of a child; he pleaded guilty to the charge in August.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies were searching the area of Michigan Ave. near Bedford Rd. in Bedford Township around 8:16pm Friday, for a suspect who was believed to have stolen electronics from a store in Marshall.

A Battle Creek man who had been accused of rape and other crimes has now had charges against him dropped. The man had been arrested after a man and woman accused him of sexually assaulting the woman at gunpoint.
The Calhoun County Election Commission met Monday to consider a recall petition put forward by a citizen, for Supervisor Adam Heikkila. The petition claims Heikkila created a hostile environment for township employees and residents, and for “intimidating and threatening behavior”.
