Officers had been attempting to catch someone known for driving on a suspended license, who had fled from them the previous night.Thus, they say, they had probable cause to arrest him.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that around 4:51pm Tuesday, the work truck had been heading Westbound in the 25,000 block of W. Michigan Ave. in Sheridan Township when it lost control and rolled onto the edge of the railroad tracks.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies were called to a two-car crash at the intersection of 23 Mile Rd. and Division Dr, around 12:40pm. Right now, the Sheriff’s Office says that it appears the vehicle traveling on 23 Mile Rd. failed to yield properly to the vehicle on Division, leading to the accident.
Deputies were called to a single vehicle rollover crash around 8am Thursday, in the 22,000 block of 14 ½ Mile Rd in Convis Township. Initially, the driver reported that he was trapped inside the vehicle in shallow, swampy water.
The crash happened at the Capital Ave. SW McDonald's, near I-94, around 7:30am Friday. The crash didn't result in any injuries, either to the driver or those inside.
Just before 9pm Tuesday, Battle Creek Police Officers found a man pinned under a golf cart that turned onto its side at the Battle Creek Country Club. The 54-year-old told police that he had been attempting to drive to his home a short distance away.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that around 10:30pm April 29, two victims said that they were approached in an alleyway near the 1200 block of Hays Park, by two men who tried to sell them marijuana. The victims refused, leading to one suspect pulling out a gun and firing a shot into the ground before fleeing on foot; the second suspect then stole the victim’s vehicle and drove off.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says that they responded to the 23,000 block of South County Line Rd. in Clarendon Township Tuesday night, and found a vehicle that crashed into a tree.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says they initially were called to the corner of Washington and Race around 1am March 9, after a car had crashed into a tree. The car was found unoccupied when police arrived, and investigation determined the vehicle had been stolen from an apartment complex a few miles away.
