A wide majority say they will definitely vote for the Democratic candidate against the President in the general election. Still, about 2 in 10 say their decision will depend on which Democrat is on the ballot in November.
The recall petitions were reviewed, the opportunity for challenges has expired, and the Calhoun County Clerk-Elections Office determined the petitions contain the minimum number of valid signatures needed to initiate a recall election.
Voters in Calhoun County are heading to the polls for the first election of 2019, to vote on several different measures and proposals. Polls open at 7am Tuesday, May 7, and close at 8pm. If you're in line by 8pm, you will be allowed to cast your ballot.
County-wide, the average voter turnout was 51.74 percent. Compare that to the last midterm election in 2014, when the turnout county-wide was just 37.7 percent.
